Review This is a great "birds eye", glossy view of the English game- complete with a hip layout, excellent photography, solid writing and interesting articles. Hard core English football supporters may scoff at the way FFT presents the game, it can seem a little tabloid'ish at times, and frankly, this leans a lot more towards "Maxim Magazine" then it does the Sunday Times. However, most fans will enjoy the magazine for it's features and pieces on former players and glimpses at great moments- the "Boy's a Bit Special" monthly feature on upcoming young players is excellent! Even casual observers that may only catch an occasional game on the Fox Soccer channel will find this magazine interesting and entertaining. The downsides with FFT are the amount of ads (concentrated toward the front and back) and the price of each issue here in the States. That's why it's hard to look at this monthly magazine as a great value for your money or to justify a subscription. However, it is highly recommended as a once-in-a-while treat or maybe to take along to read between games at a tournament.
