Review This is the audio CD for administering what is commonly called the "beep Test" for measuring aerobic fitness and a person's maximum oxygen uptake. The test involves participants running between 2 points, 20 Meters apart while maintaining an ever increasing pace set by the audio. If you want to learn more, check out the "Multi-stage fitness test" Wikipedia page. Anyway, it's an excellent test for you to use to measure the fitness of your players because it requires them to push themselves to keep pace so you can see their fitness and "mental toughness" at the same time. Plus, it can be replicated in different locations or at different times and the results will be comparable. For me, I wanted something I could use to test my team's fitness over our snowy Midwestern winters. I tried running the Cooper test but ice covered tracks and blustery winds were less then desirable conditions for the athletes. Then I tried this and found that I could run 60 players through (in two groups) in a gym and it would take about 30 mins. The best part, I could run the test at various times during the off-season and compare results. And now, with several years of results I can compare our results from year to year. It really is a brilliant solution and a very simple test to administer.
