Review The Soccer Journal is a solid publication aimed at the NSCAA's 17,000 members. About 40% of the content is about soccer coaching (15% drills and activities, the rest cover various topics). Association news takes up about 12% and the rest are ads or registration forms. I emphasize the breakdown because this is a very good magazine for the right type of coach. Since the articles are written by mostly US college coaches and directors of coaching you get a great perspective of the US game. If you are looking for drills and insights into international methods of training- there are better options that give you better value. Bottom line, if you're interested in all aspects of coaching and will be active with the association through their seminars, convention, and courses, then you'll get a lot out of SJ.
